I find my stock images everywhere!

The family and I were on holiday in Kos, Greece, and I was trying to eliminate all work thoughts from my mind and concentrate on absolutely nothing except a future sand castle build and how many beer I should drink before noon. Another thought was maybe I should have had a pedicure before I slipped on these sandal things.

We sat down on a restaurant patio just up from the hot sand and asked for menus. I quickly recognized the photo used on the unfolded cover as one of my first food stock images I took back in 2008 - and one of my best sellers for a long time. It's amazing to see images in use at random places around the world. I started thinking about work again, and what stock images I should be shooting. I never seem to be able to get away from work - it follows me everywhere!

A few months earlier, I was on a plane coming back to Toronto and was flipping through Air Canada's in flight magazine EnRoute. On the first page of a section about Switzerland was my photo of Zurich that I took back in 2006 from the top of the church tower overlooking the Limmat river. Awesome! I'm sure I received about 38 cents for that usage. :P

Then shopping in our local grocery store in Baar, my bouquet of roses photo was on napkins on sale in Migros. I bought them.
